Blood Orange and Elderflower Cake

Cure those winter blues with a burst of Valencian sunshine.  This spectacular gateau has all the winter colour (and flavour) you need.

An incredibly light blood orange chiffon sponge comes paired with homemade blood orange marmalade, and generous amounts of elderflower-scented buttercream. Dehydrated blood oranges give a dazzling finish. Who said winter days had to be grey?
